The A-Rob Smash Life Banked Slalom went down Saturday Jan, 21. SO FRICKEN FUN.
The Snoqualmie Park dudes shoveled they asses off for days. Literally moving tons of snow building banks during a MF-er of a storm during the preceding week. Good onya’s to all.
The course was right next to where people ice-climb…winding through the trees….ended right above the red robin cliffs. Good spot. The banks where fun and tight. Real tight. Not fun, fast, sweeping berms, Baker Slalom style…this was a tight, aggressive, chuck you right out off the course Alpental style Slalom. 75% of shreds were literally tossed off the course. Good shit.
The format was rad. No age brackets. No pro. No am. Basically the winner was the best. No question.
Thanks for the pics Kate and Josh Thompson!
Montana locs were holding it down taking a bunch of the top spots. Even the Montana band that played after the awards killed it….sick Dramamine cover. I heard that–good work.
So much fun. Positive vibes all around. I’m sure Aaron was stoked.
