This info gets updated every month or so…but this one is the best one i’ve seen yet. Here’s the gist of it: above average precip and below average temps.
Read the full nerded out article here: http://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/analysis_monitoring/enso_advisory/ensodisc.html
Also, the following graphics should get you pretty hyped. They show the 3 Month Outlook for Precip and Temperature for the US starting December 2011 and continuing through Feb 2012. Sic!
Pretty awesome forecast and all…but i’d suggest sticking to “i’ll believe it when i see it.” or something like that. That way all your hopes and dreams don’t get crushed. Aim low bro.

So the same shit we hear every year.
My bet:
Another great opening day at Baker, a few epic pow days all over the NW up until the end of the yar. Then a cold, precipitation-less January and February (except Baker will get a couple feet of pow for the banked slalom) will once again throttle our enthusiasm. Finally, the longest spring skiing season ever will be recorded.
I got $20 on it.
Oh, and the Summit will not have a pipe of any kind for the 5th year in a row. Fail.
Thats for sure. I wish Stevens would build a real halfpipe. That extra 1000 feet of elevation sure makes the park hold together better.
Only need 3-4 good days of POW. The rest of the season needs to be full of good waves.
Totally agree with beelah.
All of my hopes and prayers going toward some big NW swells.
ditto.
i think id better go with the wider and stiffer totally fk’n awesome instead of the bsod if we’re gonna be gettin all this wah-pow pow. thanks nwbroweather.com!!!
i wish they made a longer one. sweet graphics.
Let’s just hope it snows enough so not all the M-F 9 to 5′ers turn the midweek pow days into weekends.
Good point. Them locals up there love that…
