nwBroweather did a quick analysis of a few of the Season Passes available out there. Take a look at the table below to get a better idea of where you might get more shred for your buck.
Note: Only adult seasons passes that have date-unrestricted skiing have been listed. Most ski areas have weekday/college/teenager/senior/etc passes. Click on the links for more information.

1 Price shown is the current price as of 9/12/2011.
2 As of 9/12 The Summit-at-Snoqualmie hasn’t posted their 11-12 Ticket prices. I bet they run $60.
3 Break Even = Season Pass Price / Daily Lift Ticket Price. 10% Tax added to both Pass/Ticket price in equation (cept in OR). Rounded to nearest Day. Math!
Bonus Analysis!!:
The Summit-at-Snoqualmies Gold Pass includes 5 days of skiing at Crystal. 5 Days of skiing at Crystal will run you 325+tax. The price of the Gold Pass is $489+tax. If you subtract the $325 you’d spend on the 5 tickets at Crystal from the price of the Gold Pass ($489) you are left with $164. $164 is equal to 3 days of skiing at Snoqualmie (at $60/ticket). So, assuming you use all your Crystal passes from the Gold Pass, you’d only have to ride 3 times at Snoqualmie Pass to pay for your pass. Here’s the simple break down–Buy the Summit at Snoqualmie Gold Pass — Ride 5x at Crystal + Ride 3x at Snoqualmie = Pass Paid For
Booya.
Nice breakdown on the Snoq pass. I’m holding out hopes that Skibowl offers the $99 unlimited again at the ski expo cuz that’s the only shit that fits my bank account!
Yeah I was actually surprised myself when I did the math. Easily the best deal in the 206zone. That dual skibowl/t-line one seems pretty good.
I like the “break even” section. Cool, man.
Snoqualmie gold pass is where it’s at..
tru-dat
I don’t see a multiplier in the days to break even column for the Summit. Should be some factors for the following lame conditions: C-2 opening at noon, painfully slow lift line at C-2, Elevator Gate Closed, High Traverse Closed, and even I-90 closed.
Good point.
Purge early or hold your shits in the afternoon.. I am breaking toilet seats if shitty advertises a pipe and doesn’t deliver in year 4.
I heard no pipe and no mention of pipe. Sad…
dude i fuckin love this website.
thanks. not used to this kind of comment. don’t know how to feel…
Omg! Ofcourse ur website is rad. Kook!
Don’t forget the Snoqualmie Gold Pass also includes 10 days at other resorts on top of Crystal! So 5 days @ Crystal + 10 days at the “other resorts” and the pass is basically paying you to ski/ride. Not bad.
Um, check the fine print about the “10 visits” to “other resorts. I won’t have any chance to ski Loon Mountain or Cypress, if I can get to Crystal or Stevens.
Snoqualmie Gold Pass
AND Unlimited GOLD pass holders receive 10 visits to each of the following Boyne resorts:”
1. Cypress Mountain, British Columbia
2. Big Sky Resort, Montana*
3. Brighton, Utah
4. Boyne Highlands Resort, Michigan*
5. Boyne Mountain Resort, Michigan*
6. Loon Mountain, New Hampshire
7. Sugarloaf/USA, Maine*
8. Sunday River Resort, Maine*
Considering I’ve already used up 2 of the 10 days and am about to start on Crystal, I won’t even need to hit up the Summit to break even on my Unlimited Gold pass. There ARE other people who get out of town y’know…
Simply put: “Ride 5x at Crystal + Ride 3x at Snoqualmie = Pass Paid For” just got that much sweeter.
Sounds like some crazy math equation. Good work!
HEY FUCKERS I GOT THE SUMMIT GOLD PASS BASED ON THIS AND THIS ALONE
THANKS SO MUCH NWBROWEATHER
ALSO ON YOUR ADVICE, I’M GOING TO GET A WRESTLING SINGLET AND A BUNCH OF MAPS.
