We struggled with that Chile pow hose shot. Def a sick shot. That was in the finals. So were the Midwest Steve shots.
Regardless, this was an experiment that turned out better than I expected. I’m working on weaseling more gear from loc shred comps and am hoping to do another photo contest.
The next time I’ll set up a voting/poll deal. Was thinking of doing best method, best hose shot, handplant, crail grab, etc.
I’m no photographer, but I think I have a pretty good eye for shit like this, and clearly Rhys Logan’s shot is sick and deserves the win.
Agreed A-man – the second Valle Nevado would have could have been in contention for the the win if you could see see the guy above doing the slashing. I don’t understand why it was cropped so tight.

Yeah I could have added all kinds of stipulations to the photos–this winter, Northwest, no helmets, no cropping, etc., but that woulda been too much bs to deal with. Plus you can just say any shot is recent or from the NW anyways. And then there’s Photoshop.
