Got my hands on some L1 Outerwear the other day. Really cool gear…subtle style, clean lines and literally zero colorful flashy shit that seems to be running rampant this year. No joke…i went out looking to get on some new gear and everything is insaneO tripped out colorful fruity shit. WTF? L1′s outerwear is not colorful fruity shit. They have some high fashion tight stuff but most is pretty mellow styled. Even jaded old dudes could rock it.
The L1 men’s line has 10 different jackets and 5 different pants. 20k, 10k, powder cuffs with pant interfaces, wrist gaiters, all the features you expect, and none the stuff you don’t need.
The jacket i got has a light insulation which i’ve always steered clear of here in the NW. Layering is the way. Figured i’d be sweating balls on a hike on the Arm the other day but the light insulation worked out just fine. Nice to be wearing less gear.
Another thing i really dig about the jacket is that it doesn’t have wrist velcro cuffs. I don’t think i’ve ever actually used those things. They just get full of snow and flap around. I’ve sewed them in place on other jackets…nice that this one straight up doesn’t even have one.
Cool website too…clean, organized, and well designed. Bonus: hot chicks in the women’s section.
L1 is actually designed here the the Northwest by nice people who drink beer and shred. Unfortunately you can’t get it in any shops around here (weird) but you can get it online here (dogfunk). Good thing is no one else will be rocking the same shit.

Just ordered my 1st new jacket in like almost 10 years. A Brofire prodeal. Stoked! Color ways have been wacked for years now it seems, although I found Bonfire and Holden to have solid colors that weren’t all wiled out. My other idea was to go with an outdoor company like say NAU, Pataguchi, or Arcterx over a snowbro company.
Well its better than underwear reviews. Man, so my review is of a vans pro shell gortex jacket. Balls. Sent it in for warranty after only having 1 season. Jansport now owns the brand and sent it back no fix for a pretty straight forward warrant issue. Back to wearing my 17 year old wave rave gortex jacket. Its rad. Oh all gloves suck now. Wish I had some batwaves. hook me with a l1 bro form.. I know you have one
