Last Sunday got a little surf in Westport. Waves were so-so.
There were two guys rallying jet skis. Jumping off the back of waves. Dude were airing 20 feet to flat at times. Looked painful but i could tell they were having fun.
They stayed way away from the dudes surfing (thanks). Entertaining to watch.
After about a 1/2 hour of jumping i noticed one of the guys wasn’t moving anymore…he was sitting on his ski floating closer and closer inside and drifting towards some riprap. Eventually he got his ski tossed on the rocks by a set wave. Then it proceeded to get blasted by every wave that broke.
Luckily for these guys the tide was going down as was the swell. They spent the next couple hours trying to get the ski off the rocks. Then eventually managed to drag it away on the sand. A harsh lesson, maybe bad luck, definitely a bummer.

well, the guys were respectful of us little guys in the water and staying well away or i probably would have been stoked to see em get blasted on the rocks.
