The Climate Prediction Center/NCEP just put out an updated La Niña report.
Still up in the air, but according to most of the models, it’s looking like we’re headed for a ‘moderate to strong’ La Niña winter.
The temp/precip impacts for the US are typically weak during the summer/fall but are slated to ‘strengthen considerably’ during the late fall and winter months. woo-hoo!
Cross ya fingers…

So that means it's going to cold and wet in Seattle for 7 or 8 months? Suicide Watch for everyone!!! Maybe have to extend the Mexico trip so I get plenty of Vitamin D now.
THIS WEATHER IS FUCKIN SICK.
YOUR DANCING. YOUR DANCING IS FUCKIN SICK.
WHAT THE FUCK. FUCK. WHAT THE FUCK. YOU FUCKING SON OF BITCH.
Side note, a doctor recently told me that sun doesn't work in comparison to supplimental vitamins with reguard to our SAD weather. Costco has a special on the liquid stuff right now. I tried a sample and felt no different. Report end.
they're putting this up just in time then: http://www.seattlefriends.org/

La Nina. Seem to remember relativley long periods of cold, clear, and crisp, offshore surf down here in OR. The winters before last were mild la ninas & some of the best in recent memory.
