Crystal Mountain is calling their new jib only park that will be open this winter 2010/11 the Sasquatch Jib Park. To commemorate this complete 180° they’re having a design contest to come up with a park logo. I’m guessing they’re low on funding, because unless you hire some fresh-outta-college-kid, graphic design work isn’t typically cheap.
So it makes sense that they’re not even offering a free pass to the winner. How weak is that?!
Crystal Mountain….sheesh.
Here’s the details:
“The new Sasquatch Jib Park needs a logo- and we want YOU to design it!
We need something involving a Sasquatch- the whole body, just the head, whatever! Put your brain to work and give us a fun, eye-catching logo in jpg format.
You have until August 13th to email your design. We’ll post our top five favs on the Sasquatch facebook page to be voted on!”

Do you know for sure there's no compensation for the winner? It doesn't say one way or the other, just curious if you asked….
There are so many articles out there about how logo design contests are bad for business and the industry (graphic design).
there's no mention of compensation on the webpage nor on the FB fan page.
i can't imagine going to Crystal and riding a park anyways…that place has so much sick terrain…

ha JP is dating little laura, and they stayed at my place while laura was checking out cwu campus. he is pretty brode out, and he is definitely one of the cool kids. i dunno. he just likes to wear XXXXL tall T's and make fun of everything. but he left beer in my fridge, so i can't really say anything bad about the guy. also heard before his time with SLC park crews he worked at nollies when it was in four corners before they moved to covington and went broke. maple valley kids comin up in the snow game. good for him.
