Myself and a handful of friends are heading to Mexico in a couple weeks. Same place i went last mex trip. Managed to use miles i’ve been collecting for a few years to get a ticket for free. Pretty rad. Pretty lucky. Really stoked!
Swell looks promising. Or at least it’s been pretty damn consistent. 5-8 feet, and 15 to 20 seconds for the last couple months. Can’t wait to see spots down there if the swell is as large as i’m hoping. It’ll be interesting to see how different they break on a bigger period and with more size. Should be way sketchier this time

It’s looking like it’s gonna be really hot and humid too. I might have to bring down a small fan. Funny how little i end up drinking when it’s that hot. Pretty much a 1:1 drinking/sweating ratio when it’s in the 90′s. However much beer goes in, comes out as sweat. Maybe that’s just me…
Game plan this time is to go fishing 1st thing the morning after we get there. That way we’ll be eating good for days. Ceviche and fish tacos, mmmmm. Last time we went fishing and filled up a huge cooler. We had to leave the next day so we were only able to take a few fish. Bummer to have to give up all that pescado. Not sure how solid this fishing plan will hold up against epic surf. But we’ll see…
We’re planning on exploring farther north this time. Really excited to drive and see the country side. We’ll have instinct and bad spanish as our only guide. Should be interesting. Then again, not sure how far we’ll get if surf is pumping close by. I’ve violated that rule before–it was a poor choice.

drink lots of water. my budy just got back and said the water was crazy warm, pee warm. said he was getting super dehydrated because he was sweatting a ton in the water and not relizing it. i wonder if they sell pedialyte in big refundable glass bottles..?
sweet. last time i was there in May i got really cold after being in the water a few hours. looking like water temp gonna be 85+this time…
im planning on bringing down some electolyte hydo stuff. figure a bottle of that before/after session will be smart.
Electrolytes are for plants.

Sounds epic. I would kill to see 5-8ft at 15 seconds right now… So tired of 4ft at 7 sec.
