10 Best Washington Surf Videos

Mid week in the nwBroweather offices can be a bit slow.  One of our favorite things to do is peruse videos on YouTube.  Naturally our viewing trail leads to surf videos.  Here’s a list of 10 of the best Washington YouTube Surf Videos.

1.  Surfing The Puget Sound

A couple dudes surf Edmonds on some wind swell.  No leashes!  One slips and falls on his aaaassss.  Using a song from the Breeders that’s so old it might as well be classic rock.

2.  NW Waves

Solid back handed surfing at a variety of spots.  The soundtrack makes me want to punch babies.

Shack-a-tron 5000!  And an aerial maneuver.  Booya!

4.  The Cove 1997-98

Really cool old video of the Cove at Westport.  Wave definitely doesn’t break like this anymore.  I blame the Spotted Owl.

5.  NW Surf 1/3/10

Dude films his ride with a GoPro Cam.  Pretty rad angle…whacky style.  Angry comments.

6.  Pacific Northwest Surfing

An older artsy film shot with actual film–I think.  Decent surfing and a couple near misses.  Some familiar looking bros in this one.

7.  Olympic Peninsula Surf Trip

Some dude and his girl roll out to the Oly Pen.  Lotta build up with no release.  No shots of actual surfing.  I think this guy’s from Oregon.

8.  Mulcoy’s Wold Pacific Northwest

Barrel ma-fucking-chine!  Damn, it’s weird to see actual surfing in the NW.  But this guys pro.  Heard he was a pro kite boarder too.

9.  Surf WA

Bad surfing on bad waves.  AND, this one has Creed as a soundtrack.  Sad, sad, and sad.  As of last January, it’s extra sad.

10.  Washington Surfing

Clean surf on a sometimes heavy barreling wave.  Dude paddles for a right, ducks for cover up, gets a little too high on the wave and BLAMO! Tomahawk to the face!  Totally rad…we need more of these YouTubers.  Make it happen.
