I'm giving the K2 Slayblade Wide a try this year. I'm am too challenged with large feet and do my best to stick with mid-wide boards. Every few years I'll go with a certified 'wide' board and I'm always disappointed. The best wide board I've had so far was a Burton Canyon, it actually had a decent side cut if I remember correctly. Believe it or not...the best mid-wide board I've had was made by SCOTT. Shape wise it was perfect, very similar to Options, but they were good for about 5 days before they would snap, or totally delam. Pretty sure they were only around for a year or so.

The Slayblade, even though it's the top end wide board, still feels like a I'm riding a plank. You really take for granted being able to transfer from edge to edge, but when riding this thing I'm reminded of it every time I look one way and just expect my body to follow. I think that may also have something to do with the zero camber. I'm new to the zero camber/reverse stuff and trying to get used to it on packed snow.

fuck! it feels like an eternity since I've had a whole kit that was dialed in. It's either boots, board, bindings, gear...maybe I'm just getting old.
