A great friend convinced me to book last minute tickets to Costa Rica for a week of solid surfing. Like I said…a great friend. We are staying at the Witches Rock Surf Camp in Tamarindo. Boat trips to Witches Rock and Ollie Point and shuttle service to La Playa Grande and a bunch of other sick looking spots.
We got pretty sweet deals because it is the “green season” or off season. I almost decided to bag it and not go. Apparently it can rain a bit and the wind picks up. Whatever…you gotta take a gamble every now and then. And sure enough as soon as I locked it down the SW swell started rolling in. We get in Sat morning and the swell looks sweet…then by Sunday its gonna be insane. They are calling for 5-8 ft faces…head to 3 ft overhead! Dude…I might get shacked…or pitted or whatever the bra’s call it.
I hear there is good interweb in Tamarindo and I just got a sweet new waterproof cam that shoots HD video…so there will be teaser updates!
