Every now and then a few of my friends will get a wild hair up they ass and do shit that you wouldn’t normally do. The other day was one such example.
Here is an actual simulated conversation between people i made up:
Bro 1: “Hey, wanna surf tomorrow?”
Bro 2: “Sure. Where you wanna go?”
Bro 1: “Well, i got a new spot. It’s 3 hours east.”
Bro 2: “The ocean is west.”
Bro 1: “Fuck your couch.”
So anyways…we hit the road, 3 hours later we were in beautiful Moses Lake WA. The Surf N’ Slide water park is located here, and cost only $9 for a full day of fun and excitement. Even better, you can bring in your own food! Eat it Wild Waves.
I rolled in the water park with a crew of five 30 year old grown men. Did we stick out in the crowd of screaming teenagers? Totally. Did we think the Flowrider was gonna be easy? F yes. We’ve all been surfing for years, all good snowboarders, wakeboarding, skateboarding, MMA, etc etc. The videos on YouTube make sure made me think i was gonna go pro on this thing.
We proceeded to the Flowrider zone. There was a line maybe 20 kids deep. They all looked like typical kids these days…too much pizza, slurpees, Xbox, undies with surf-shorts combos, and really obnoxious.
They all ripped. We didn’t.
