Drove up the Oregon coast last weekend. Surfed Newport, LC, Shorty’s and Indian Beach. All really fun. LC went off–super fun, reefy right that peeled, easy take off, drop then it’d wall up and get fast. Some of the better rights i’ve been on in while.
Traffic on the way home was insane. I almost snapped.
Here’s a few shots that don’t do justice.
Here’s a clip of Clem at the LC skate park:

nice work… that’s a fav route/circuit, tight itin for 2days tho eh. no P.C. stop/check? grey suits doing a good job of crowd control possibly, uh
Oh boy. Do you have to name it claim it? Define “went off” Looks like shit to me. Well at least ya didnt find me.
And PC’s the “epicenter” of Oregon surfing. Also known as Brohapmpton.
ah bummer! i was looking for you too.
Did you guys get anything down by Port Orford? Looks small, but I love it down there!
No waves in PO. It was pretty small. Protected from the NW swell that was hitting later in the trip. Some of the more exposed stuff was pretty much unsurfable…large.
I will attest to Drex’s use of the term “went off” for that short period between 1:30 and 3:30, out going tide, dead winds, shoulder +, right hand peelers off a rocky stretch of P.C. beach. Of course none of the pics taken will do it justice since I like to think we were busy catching the good ones. A little more evidence from down the beach – http://ki.smugmug.com/Adventure/RogueRiver/9387531_r75z4#628613584_juLAV-A-LB
I honestly think we caught it better later in the day at Newport, but we were just having a tough time getting into the good ones. By “good ones” I mean some juicy barreling rights onto the sand bar. Even my best pigdog hip dragging couldn’t keep me from being barrel rolled over the falls.
looks like a good trip. surfin and skatin. that giant bowl looks like hella fun. sweet photos ki-lling.
dang, sounds and looks like a goodtime for sure. hows those sk8 parks clemmy’s shreddin!? siiick. ‘ki’lling it, you have some super tasty shots in there. especially like the b/w of the ocean and wave peaking up in the middle – herra twite broheems.
