I keep an eye out for used surfboards on Craigslist…just in case i come across a sweet deal. You never know you might luck out like my buddy Clem, who scored a sic Life Savers board straight outta the 70′s.
Lately is seems like more and more people have been dumping their used surfboards on Craigslist.
Could it be a result of the economy? Maybe +30 year old Eastside dudes realized it’s too late to start surfing, or maybe there’s a ring of surfboard thieves out there trying to sell hot boards on the interweb. One things is for sure…there’s a lot more CL surfboard postings and they’re goofy as hell.
Take this example below. At first glance, this looks like a good deal. Once you get closer to the end you see the scam in this ad.
