The bossman gave me the go-ahead to come in a few hours late on Friday. Alpental had gotten knee deep snow the night before and it was slated to be sunny. Perfect!
I met a few friends up there that morning who were also calling in sic, skipping, or coming in late to work. The day was beautiful–Bluebird and cold.
We got a couple runs before the rest of Seattle showed up. No line at Chair 2 to begin with, then two runs later–Blamo! 1/2 hour wait. F! I think i blatantly snaked a few people in line on “don’t give a fuck mode.” But ima weekend warrior in a rare Friday appearance.
Had a few sic runs knoll 1 and knoll 2. Hit Kings cliff. Money. Here’s a few shots of Tall Dave and Shane#2. Probably one of the better setups for that drop i’ve ever hit.
We managed only 6 runs over the course of the morning riding from 9 to noon. Sic Day.
