Shred Horror Films

Happy Friday the 13th.

Over the past few years, there’s a few snowboarding horror movies have been made.  A horror movie with a snowboard theme seems to be a bit of a stretch to me, but the three movies i came across are no Night of the Living Shred style–we’re talking blood, gore, choppin off heads, Friday the 13th shiz.

The first couple movies i came across were made by Norwegian dudes–Dead Snow and Cold Prey.  Snowboarding in Norway makes sense–Terje, Andreas Wiig, Daniel Frank, etc.  But gore/horror movies outta Norway??  Maybe this has something to do with it.

The last movie i found Shredders, was made by American dudes and filmed at Silver Mountain, Idaho.  Compared to the other two, this movie is tame.  This movie is so tame that i’d hesitate to call it a horror movie.  It’s more like a comedy.  There’s so many cheeseball quotes, absurd dialogue, and over the top snowboarding stereo types that this movie is definitely worth watching.  The anti snowboarding sentiment in this film is hilarious.

Here are the three videos and their associated trailers.
