When I dropped classes for winter quarter two years ago (i think) maybe 3?? fuck. im old...anyway, when i dropped classes and bought a pass at baker and moved up there for the winter...best winter ive ever had. and i didnt even really ride with peeps that much. just sooooo much to explore and hike up there. tons of steep pow/drop shit all over the place. and the runs take a few mins. sometimes youd get stuck and HAVE to drop some gnarly ass chute or gap a rock at some spot youve never been before just to get down. all in bounds.

i remember this one spot where i had to gap over this rock thing to land on a ridge, ride the ridge for like 10ft, then pop off the end of the ridge, drop about 10ft. and mash through a bunch of little trees to make it to the flat where i met the trail to hit the rhythm section to get to the cat track. granted i fell in the stream at the very end of the run and had to hike up to the cat track..ha. but there was just no other way to do it. its awesome when you are absolutely forced to do shit when conditions are average that youd only normally do on a close to perfect day. steps up your game/awareness/shredability.

because of this, baker beats the shit out of tahoe. beats the shit out of hood. beats the shit out of most of whistler. beats stevens. and because of its size, beats alpy and probably all of those other weak ass places on the list. never been to jackson hole though...

move there. youll see why they call themselves MBHC.
all im sayin, is if i had the chance to move back to bham and ride baker all the time and never see anyone again. id do it.
however, i need dollars, so its back to schoolin.

nov already???
snow is close.
birthday is the 3rd.
shiz good.
