I quit my job.
In doing so i managed a few weeks of joblessness. What would YOU do with 2 weeks of no job? Sit on your ass and relax? Drink a lot? Sleep? Surf? Well that’s what im gonna be doing also. But it’ll be in beautiful Costa Rica.
A friend and i are heading down in a few days. The tentative game plan is to hit Pavones for a few days. Then make the 6+ hour drive up to Dominical then Jaco. From there we’re gonna con some fisherman to take us over to the Nicoya Peninsula and from there make our way to Mal Pais to hook up with a friend.
We’re running on a loose itinerary which in my opinion is the only way to travel. The only priority is surf. Stoked…

If i quit my job. I would spend most of my day playing video games or skateboarding, and I would drink a lot. O wait……i pretty much do that already. Its only been a month and a half since we took our trip, and i’m already jones’n for some more warm water surfing. Have fun a=holes.
Nice, post up some boobie pictures.

I surfed dirty bathrooms last week. 6 to 10 foot on Friday 6 to 8 on Saturday

yeah brah! 6-8 feet with 20 knt onshore winds. cha!!
yeah brah! its about to be 25 ft out at westport this weekend. dang the surf is gonna be goood…
25ft?! Westport for sure…
I’ve seen tripleO barrels at the Jetty on that size swell. def paddle out.
surfs up brah! can’t wait to get some giant drop ins at westpoo.
you doods scoring santa t? stayin at ando’s?
Well since its only a 6 ft SW swell at 16 seconds with little to no wind, the waves are definitely not chargable or ripable. Remember brahs, the bigger the swell, the less the interbal/period, and higher the wind=totally epic waves.
J – Keep it to yourself brah.
Easy SamO. I think what J was referring to was this little gem: http://nwbroweather.com/2008/06/24/how-to-read-swell
See ya out at Westport.
Just trying to avoid seeing kooks around my hood driving these kind of trucks…

Sam O,
the reality is it’s only going to more crowded out there. You’re going to have to learn to live it so you might as well stop whining about it and just make sure you’re prepared for the worse. Sorta like this guy who’s ready for anything -

Maybe we should all take a lesson from him.
and perhaps this young lady as well?

That sounds like the attitude of a “Surf Star”. Can I say gay?
Just keep an eye out for locals SUPER STAR.
sam-O: you’re in danger of backing yourself into a corner… You should join the Surf_Star in making fun of people with their leashes on in the parking lot, as they’d be the “kooks” you referenced earlier…
Also, what makes a “local?” That’s another inconsistent viewpoint as well; the whole surfing localizm thing…especially around here.
Break me off with your rules. Make me understand, please.
“Quit ruining NW surf” doesn’t really do it…
